About the Role
Stanford seeks a dynamic, visionary Dean to lead its world-renowned School of Medicine. The Dean oversees 2,500+ faculty, a $2B+ research budget, and Stanford Health Care partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction for the School of Medicine
- Lead faculty recruitment, development, and retention
- Oversee MD, PhD, and MD-PhD programs
- Manage relationships with Stanford Health Care and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital
- Lead major fundraising and philanthropy efforts
Qualifications
- MD, MD/PhD or equivalent terminal degree
- Distinguished scholarly achievement
- Proven senior academic leadership
- Track record of successful fundraising
Compensation
$350,000–$500,000 annually + performance bonuses, housing allowance, executive health benefits.
